RP Models (Resin Stereolithograpy or Wax Thermojet): Medcast has a long term business partner located very close to the plant that can produce these modern forms of products that can be used in the investment cast process. On receipt of a CAD model, Medcast can apply relevant gating and machine stock (if required) very quickly by use of the Pro-cast simulation and CAD software and then literally have the model produced within 48 hours. On arrival of the RP models at Medcast, the parts are excelled through the process very quickly. The result, an RP model to casting in 2-10 days!

RP Tooling: Aluminum tools are manufactured and ready for injection within a few days upon receiving a CAD model. The tooling is carefully designed in a way that the tool can be modified relatively quickly and cost effectively should the customer want design changes in the casting. Once the customer is satisfied with the final cast design, the tooling can then be adopted to full production status at a little extra cost. This service will be available from mid 2010.
